Paragraph (1) of subsection (d) of section 1 of the Act entitled "An Act to prove a for the performance of the duties of the office of President in case of the removal, resignation, death, or in- ability both of the President and Vice President", approved July 18, 1947, is amended by striking out "Secretary of War" and inserting in lieu thereof "Secretary of Defense", and by striking out "Secretary of the Navy,".
