I following information on coal im-
ports from Poland: and coal shipments from Foland arrive in Fast
started in, the fal of 1953., it was planne qthe coal by

Germany via the border stations of Kuestrin-Kietz (for the Berlin
area), Forst (for the Halle area), Guben ( where most of the coal is
transl,.oaded tp water 'too be forwarded via Fuerstenb ) , and Horka
(for the Dresden-Erfurt area). The shipments ar irregular
interval , $ome cal shipments also err ,v Stettin and
axrw. I v, orwarded to the Schwer coal deliveries
Coal stocks which had been rising slowly _prior
to 1 Ate Beoer. ire again declining, apparently because of insufficient
eliverles from Poland.

a, nary amounted to 141,900 tons of hard coal plus 1 00 tons of
UOM. .eP t uettea, i.e. a total of i61,800 tons.
According to the
coa consume on quota of 25 00 tons fixed for December (the
,quota for January is not yet known), total coal stocks on 8 January re-
presented 6.4 days' requirements which indicates that coal stooks
continued to decrease.
