IMPORTANCE OF THE SUBJECT: The transition to adequate utilization of the internal
audit function, and the understanding of the usefulness of this
function to top management, is one of the major aspects of the
growing recognition of financial management in the Federal
Government. TAThat is the relationship between internal audit
and the management engineering function? How effective is
internal audit in the control of agency operations? Time vdll
be allowed for questions and discussion after the presentations.
