THE CITADEL
THE MILITARY COLLEGE OF SOUTH CAROLINA
CHARLESTON, S. C.
OFFICE OF
THE PRESIDENT
Mr. Allen W. Dulles, Director
Central Intelligence Agency
Washington 26, D. C.
July 30, 1954
I received your letter of July 10 with the
cartoon. At least I got off to a good start. It's up to
me to produce the proper results. I'll lean heavily upon
you and your staff.
I must enter Walter Reed for a minor leg operation
some time the first week in August. I'll be laid up four or
five days, I presume, then the*Jenner Committee wants me to
appear before it, and I'll lay the ground work for the study
of your Agency. If you're in town, I'll look forward to
seeing you. I'll get in touch with you from Walter Reed.
It will be good to see you agat
Mark W. Clark
MWC/spb
P.S. I have heard nothing from Senator McCarthy.
