During the past ;e r `lbere been a s anificant in- crease in activities designed to enl:un.~e the capabilities of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Secretary of Defense and the Presi- dent in the command, control and strategic dircct_cn of the armed forces. 2. As a measure to establish closer relationship among these activities, a Command and Control Coordinating Committee has been established.
