Please reconsider the sending of any furt?i~r aid to
the dictatorial and brutal regime~of Diem in :south Viet
I~axrz, and especially ~rithdraw CIA funds now being used by
the secret police to terrorize and torture high school
children,, college students, Budc~ists and anyone else
brave enough to protest the iron regime w;-rich the United
States continues so disgracefully to prop up.
Since we are supporting the country why are we so
afraid to support the development of a denxratic gov-
er:nment? If we have no intention of so doing I believe
we should cut our losses and pu~.l out as Diem is never
/o:ing to fight the Cor~munists when it is sa much safer
