Mr. Dulles stressed the importance of the mission of this

ticularly in the light of his present assignment to survey potential
sources of warning information. The members then concurred in the

should be the selection of a technical secretary. In this connection,
the Chairman stated that he wished to discuss the matter of the first
substantive assignment of the committee further in a restricted session.
