2. Revision of NSCIDs
General Cabell, who was then presiding, read a proposed
letter from Mr. Dulles to the Executive Secretary, NSC, making
certain recommendations with respect to the timing and procedure
for NSC review of the proposed revisions of NSCID No. 1 and
NSCID No. 8, in the light of the forthcoming IAC-USCIB merger.
The members concurred in this draft letter.
In this connection, the members also concurred in General
Cabell's suggestion that the first order of business at the next IAC
meeting should be a preliminary discussion of the proposed NSCID
revisions for accomplishing the IAC-USCIB merger. It was agreed
that members of USCIB who were not also members of the IAC should
be invited to participate in the discussion of this item.
