Costa Rican Communists are endeavoring to conclude the nrc--peace campaign by November in coordination with the Peace Congress scheduled for 13-19 November in London. 2, Collection of signatures against atonic warfare continues, with an all-out ref'ort which includes the assistance of all cells, the Union do I'ujeres Carmen Lyra (ITCL), the Communist-controlled labor syndicates and the Liga Juvenil Revolucionania (IJR). The Peace Committee in San Jose has d3signed and presented the original draft of a flysheet entitled "Give Your Signature Against the Atomic Bomb", a woodcut depicting a bombed city, to the Political Commission of the Vanguardia Popular, which in turn has cone racted the printing of thrc--, thousand copies at the Imprenta .lena in San Jose, to be pasted on malls and posts. Orders have also seen placed with the same printing shop for five thousand peace forms, the original of .,,h:_ch was received from the :iris Pro-peace Committee. 3 On " September 199), the Committee of the UUorld Congress of the Defenders of Peace in Paris, through the Pro-peace Committee of San Jose, instt?uc-, ted all delegates from Costa Rica to the Second :.orld Peace Congress in London to obtain visas from the Costa Rican Consulate in Paris, 4. About the middle of September, Alvaro r"ontero Vega of the LJR, then at the Second Congress, International Union of Students in Prague, contacted ~irnoldo Ferreto, Secretary General of the Vanguardia Popular (whose pseudonym is Oscar Vargas), requesting either money (:".'9C) to continue to London or instructions to return to Costa Rica.
