The members agreed to defer action on this matter until a later IAC meeting at which Admiral Layton would be present and would have an opportunity to present his views. 10. Exchange of Views Regarding "De-Stalinization" Developments in the USSR The membersi xchanged views on recent 25X1 events in the USSR, particularly with respect to the nature and sig- nificance of "de-Stalinization" developments. 11. The IAC Committee on Exchange of Delegations with the USSR and the European Satellites, at its 12 March meeting, agreed to invite USIA to sit with the committee. Unless objection is raised by an IAC member prior to the next scheduled meeting of the Exchange Committee on 26 March, the Secretary will authorize this committee formally to extend an invitation to USIA. 3.
