1. Light tanks coming from the direction of the Oermend.orf
ld were seen in the V lten woods late on

2d The following observations were made between 10 a 30 am.

a. Twelve tanks and trucks coming
from the direction of the airfieldg moved into the Velten
woods about 10 : 30 a.m. Bach truck was occupied by 36
troops wearing red-bordered black epaulets. One of the
trucks toned a mortar of 30 to 100 mm caliber,, The trucks
were followed' at a distance of 300 meters, by an unntm-
bered radio truck.
bU Tanks and trucks were camouflaged with brushwood. The
troops remained on the trucks during the period of obser?-
vation. No further training activity was observed.
c, Pour tanks and the two trucks proceeded toward Leege-
bruch (Z 67) about 6 pam0, while the remaining eight tanks
headed north along the eastern border of the airfield.
