Action: Agreed that, on completion of the current
2 5X1 study on China's trade and shipping, ONE will prepare a
memorandum for DCI relating Admiral Radford's comments to this
study and to an analysis already prepared by ORR. Whether or not
5E-37 should be revised will be determined after the completion
2 5X1 of 0 Joint Staff studies of Chinese transportation, and
review of these studies by the EIC.

Matters for NSC Briefing
7. Discussion: The DCI informed the Committee that,
effective next week, the NSC would meet on Thursdays rather than
Wednesdays. Mr. Armstrong commented on current developments
respecting an Austrian peace treaty. General Porter called the
members' attention to reported German activities in Egypt.
Mr. Dulles asked the members to review matters which might be
considered at the three-power meeting in Bermuda.
