ABSTRACT: The Image of a half-plane on a half-plane with a simply-connected cut-out
region D is studi.ed. The cut-out region is bounded by a segment of the x-axis includ-
ing the origin and by a continuous curve which may be deffned analytically,, graphical-
ly, or by 'a discrete series of points. It is assumed that the curve has two points in
common with the axis. A function is sought in the following form to give the r*quizvd
mapping to any given degree of accuracy:

loped by H. A. Lavrentlyev'applied to the method of trigoncmetric interpolation. The
