Abstract., Twenty-two cases, including two suffering from asthru;, 18 from
tuberculosis -asthma, I from migraine, and 1 from drug urticaria, were
treated with Histaglobine, a histaglobuline complex antigen providing
active antihistaminic immunization. In only six cases was there any

vidence of improvement. The causes for the low respoase, contradicting
some other reportg published in the literature, were discussed. 50 re-
ferences, including 10 German, 6 Hungarian,and 34 Western.

caused only a slight decrease of the oxygen consumption of normal rats (averag; - 10 %)
as measured by the method of Issekutz and Issekutz Jr. (Arch. Fxp. bath. l9h2, 199, 306).
Morphine-scopolarine narcosis inhibited temperature regulation; on:coo'Ling, 02 consumption
increased less and rectal temperature decreased more than in intact anLmals. Morphine-
scopolamine narcosis acts partly by inhibiting hypothalamic metabolism centres, partly by
dilatation of skin vessels. The latter effect last longer than the former.

Abstract: (Autbors' Hungarian surnary] The behavior of the thymol and gold-
sol tests has been investitlatod by the authors on 294 patients with dys-
protelnemia. The relation of the tests to various clinical and laboratory
data, especially to serum protein fractions, was e = ined on an additional
100 patients. The conclusion is reached that, in practice, the positiveness
of these colloid-lability tests depends entirely on the Increase of the

Abstracti (Authors' HunLrarian summary) An experimental confirmation of the
authors' hypothesis is presented according to which the positivity or
negativity of the Coombs reaction depends on the orientation of the
--lobulin present in specific or aspecific bonding at the surface of the
erythrocytes. In the case of specific bonding the groups capable of re-
action vith the Coombs serum are "free" and the reaction Is positive while,
in the case of aspecific bonding the Fc-fragment reactive with the Coombs
serum is bound to the surface of the erythrocytes and the reaction can not
