A bimetallic relay with an ohmic heater serves as a timer for commutating the-measuring systems of the 2- channel device. A switching relay closes the cirepit of an electromagnetic clutch and connects a common sensitive relay wLth the respective bridge measur- ing circuit. The brush of a compensating potentiometer is connected in serles with the sensitive relay Into the diagonal of the measuring system. The electro- .magnetic clutch couples the am of the potentiometer brush with the servomotor shaft. Depending on the error sign, the sensitive relay close-9 the circuit of one or another relay determining the direction of rotation of the motor. At the Card 1/2 s/194/62/ooo/olO/028/084 A multichannel telemetric recording device A154/A126 end of the measuring time intervil, when the voltage has been taken from the electromagnetic clutch, the latt4i is coupled with the sIffing arm of the poten-, tiometek, of the second measuring system by the action of a spring. For commu- tating the measuring systems of the It-channel device it is proposed to use a collector commutator with a special actuator. To achieve a higher degree of stability, the measuring system'has auxiliary resistors, which are disconnected upon balancing of the bridge. The recording curve Is almost continuous, since after the bridge has been balanced the potentiometer remains in the same posi- tion until the next measurement. There are 4 figures. A.K. The following methods were employed: Determination of solubility, potentiometry, electric conductivity, absorption and volume of precipitations (see tables and figu@es). In the system AgNO 3-K 3[Fe(GN)6]-H20 the normal silver ferricyanide AgLFe(CN)61 was found to exist. In the system AgITO -Rb 0 [pe(")@H 2 3 3 also the mixed salt RbA921Fe(CN)J forms besides the normal silver ferricyanides In the 3yatem AgNO 3-Ce Fe(GN) H 0 4- 1 also normal silver ferricy ide and the mix; n salt tRe Card 1/2 composition C,A92P,(C,),j are formed. In the system ZnSO4-K 31Fs`(CN)61-H2O only normal zinoferricyanide is formed, which has the composition Zn Are(CN)6] - With a surplus of potassium ferricyanide considerable pe tization of zinc ferri- cyanide occurs. In theqystem ZnSO 4 --Rb 3tpe(CN)6] -'H2 0 the double salt Rb,[Fe(CN)61.6Zn 3[pe(CN)6]2 'a formed. Formation of the mixed salt was determined by measuring the apparent volume of the precipitate. The results obtained by analyses are shown by tables 4 and 5 and by figures 5 and 6. In the aystem Card 1/2 ZnSO4-Ce 3[e(CM)d -H20 also a mixed salt is formed, which has SOV/78--4-5-15/46 Investigation of the FTr.=w;tL.Y_- vf the composition 2Cs,[Fe(CN)@ .3Zn,[Fe (CN)61 -By aging this compound goes over into the mixed salt CsZn tF'e(CN)6)- Table 7 and figures 8 and 9 show the variation with respect to time of the apparent volume of the precipitate. On the curve of the variation of the apparent volume of the precipitate a maximum occurs in the system ZnS04_Cs 311?e(CN)6]""20 at n - 90 (n - molar ratio M3[14PU)6j: ZnS04 in the initial mixture)v which indicates the formation of the mixed salt. The solubility of the precipitate depends on the ionic radius of the alkali metal. The larger this radiusp the more insolable the precipi- tate. Changes in the quality of images at different azimuths are explained by the nature of the local relief. Different observation stations are compared by the magnitude of turbulence angle in zenith. L. The solution is reduced to graphic charts, with the help of which it is possible to calculate the fields of temperature in panels of various thickness and with different spacing between the pipes of the register. Discuss. pp. 250-256 TEXT: Observations were performed by means of meniscus telescopes of types A37-7 (AZT-7) (D - 200 mm) , and 'r,?M (TEM) - 140. (D -- 140 mm) at three stations: Suvorovskaya, Turchidag Mountain and Mountainous Station of GAO-AS USSR. The quality of star images was estimated according to the Danjon-Coudera scale, and turbulence angles t" were calculated. The dependence of the image quality estimate, expressed in.points, on zenith distance is presented by different types of curves for all the stations. In exceptional cases the proportionality to see z is observed. In comparing stations of observations, t"4 0.18 is adopted as the 0 good quality of an Image. The observational results, presented graphically and Card 1/2 85207 S/035/60/000/010/01-VO21 On Visual Observations of the Quality of Star Images AOO1/AOOl tabialated0ahow the dependence of turbulence angle on observational time during the night, the temperature of the air layer at the earth surface, and the azimuth of observation. Changes in the quality of images at different azimuths are explained by the nature of the local relief. Different observation stations are compared by the magnitude of turbulence angle in zenith. L. He. reproduces the results of the visual observations made by the expeditions at the 3ouvorovskaya village (Stavropoll steppe), on the Turchidag Mountain (in Dagestan) and at the Gornaya station In the region of Kislovodsk. He states the dependence of the star image quality upon the time and azimuth of the observation. The comparison of the observations made at different points reveals a sharp differ- ence in the distribution of t" (turbulenoo angle) In points with different reliefs; in other words, it is possible to conclude that, apart from other Card 1/2 S/035/6P/000/005/022/098 Some results of the astroolimatic ... A655/A1OI factors, the relief of the locality influences strongly the quality of the star image. The author examines also the dependence of the star-image quality on temperature and on the strength and direction of the wind at the Souvorovskaya village. The star-image quality grows worse when the velocity of the wind increases.. The examined data show that the best inage-quality was obtained, during the period in question, at the Gornaya station and at Vikh1i (Dagestan- skaya ASSR). Mont ABSTRACT: It has already been demonstrated, albeit on a somewhat limited bod@lr of material, that between the quality of the image (tm) and the image motion of istars there in a definite relationshipi namely, as the turbulence angle too In.. creases, so also doesol", However# the author states that the problen'of the de-: a for termination of the relationship has not yet been definitely resolved. It i this reason that, despite the fact that a relatively large amount of observation- derived material is now available# the author returns once agaiu to the question of the correlation between V and&'" (turbulent* angle and mean, square deviation of image motion). On the basis of an analysis of extensive data it Is shown that the following substitutions of characteristics should be mades 2) the percentago,of nights with excellent imagoo wA psoidl Image @otioa conputed with respect +Is. the ing which ebservuUons were conducted shodd be replaced by the permwt ACCESSION NO: AM17625 age of observation periods relative to the total nwober of periods during which,' according to the program, observations should have been made; 2) the value of V anda"', reduced to the zenith should be replaced by valuem which are obtained on. the basis of direct observations at the zenith. The author also concludes thatt 1) if the limiting diameter of the tele scope leneeal used under expedition condi. tions, does not exceed 20 cm, natinfaotory corrflation in observed between star image quality and image motionj 2) comparison of points by nightly-streraged a"" and t" values leads -to erroneous conclusions because of the instability of thoo majorlty of the nights and the unequal number of observation periods in the case of a single night; 3) if a site is selected without consideration of the fluctua- tions of different periods (particularly, large periods), this site ww be found, to be random; 4) all the problems counidered in this article relate to work vh1ch has already been carried out, And in order that allowance be made for certain errors (occasionally even flagrant ones), no additional observational work- need be conductedg it being for this purpoe4 sufficient to rework the already available extensive data both with regard to Image quality as well as to star image motiong based on past expedition@* Such rovision my result in much enhanced theorett &I accuracy.
