TITLE: Granulated Fuel From Waste Products (Granuliroyannoye
toplivo iz etkhodev proizvodetva)

ABSTRACT: The waste products which a:re obtained in tfie gasification
of zo_*ld fuel are tzr, heavy coal-tar products formed
in by-product coking frocesses, and coal dust. Besides,
usually a packing department predLlCing boxes is
affiliLted to glass works which has to dispose of its
chippings. By a combination of the waste products of
these two lines of production a method of the productlQn
of granulated fuel was developed in the Glass Works
thin article. First coal dust and chippings are mixed
in a rotating-barrel-type mixer at a volume ratio of
10 (this process takdo 1-2 minutes). Afterwardz the same
amount * i acal-tar pro4tiots which are kopt at a temperaturi

for 5-10 minutes. Solid granules vith a diameter of from
-lo to eo mm are obtained, which neither coagulate

af 6000 kcallkg, an ash content of 8-12';v@ and a humidity
of 3-10%. It can be burned in boiler and bathing-
establishments. The granules become indurated and coked
during combustion. The small plant en6aFed in the
production of this fuel-produced 1450 tons, -which
proceduro lead to considerable savings.
