SUBJECT: "Communist Forgeries, 1961-1964"
1. Herewith are three copies of a study just finished
entitled "Communist Forgeries, 1961-64". Prepared in the
Agency as a follow-up to testimony given before the Senate Internal
Security Subcommittee in 1961, it includes analyses of all the
significant forgeries which have come to light during the period
covered.
2. Copies are being sent to intere sted Departments and

by CI/ICCx. Subject: Communist Forgeries, 1961.64. dated
12 August 1965.

2. As you probably know copies have been requested
by the Department of State and the White House. In view of
your testimony before the Internal Security Sub-Committee
of the Senate in the spring of 1961, do you wish to sign the
transmittal memoranda for copies going outside the Agency,
or should we use normal channels, 1. e.. CA Staff to State,
which will send copies to the White House. and CI/liaison to
the rest of the community?
