OF PAGES 1 NO. OF ENCIS. LUSTED BELOW> SUPPLEMENT TO REPORT NO. 1. The Yugoslav Army is making a continuous effort to improve its fortifications along the Yugoslav-Rumanian border. At present, additional mine fields are being laid and barbed wire barriers are being constructed. 2. Yugoslav military strength in the area of Vrsac has been greatly reduced during the last fever months. Only a small detachment of infantry and cavalry remains in the area. A small number of soldiers are on duty in the tower of the Orthodox Church in Vrsac from which vantage point they observe that portion of the Rumanian border facing the ton. 3. P'eanwhile, members of the People's Front in Vrsao have been checking the basements of buildings in the area and listing all those which can be used as shelters in the event of an air raid. 4. All youths in Vrsac born either in 1935 or 1936 have been ordered to register and report for pre-military training. The individuals within this category were allowed until the end of October 19.1 to register. `",oreover, during the month of October and November 1951, most young woman in Vrsao began taking courses in defense against air raids. 5.
