1. It has been reported that l to in October 1951 a small group of Chilean Communist;
who have had the task of attempting to penetrate the Chilean armed forces met
clandestinely at the home of Temistocles Uribe Perez in San Bernardo, Chile, to
discuss the progress of the penetration movement. An attempt at penetration of
the armed forces has been a nw,jor task of the Chilean Communist Party for some
time,. While there appear to be a few isolated instances of success,, the movement
has this far been considered a failure.
