most likely successor would be General Isidro I. Martini, present Argentine
Ambassador to Paraguay and former Commander at Campo de Mayo, Martini was
a classmate of Peron and is an intimate and faithful follower of the
President. Reportedly he is liked and respected by his fellow officers arid
and he tends to be pro-Americana

to Sosa holina is General Laureano O, Anaya who is descriced as .tionalistic,
pro-clerical and anti-United States. Be is the brother of General Elvio
Anaya, who was at one time an opponent of Peron,, Laurenano Anaya appears
to be on excellent terms with the President.
3. Although both are likely candidates, it is possible that Peron may choose
a nonentity for the position since personal loyalty would be primarily
important.* All this presuposes that Peron would have complete freedom in
making the appointment.
