tion between the ground and a building at the tilne of-seismic
etress. Tile directions of investigating the ground movement chan-,
ges caused by the presence of a building are indicated. Integral'
equations are derived for the movement of ground, and methods are

kinetic moment, kinetic ensTgy, Lagrangian and Hamilt-onian), and the flow of
energy along the Itir. He desa--ribes the motion of the bar 1=7 means of differen-
tial and also of int-rugral relations. The diffarentimi relations (vectorial and
scalar) are deduced bv applying the torus theorem, the Lagrangian and the Hamil-

he presents the method of formulating the linear problems of the bar movement.
T-41e affamots of the non-linearity of the bar equations are made evident through
an examination of the flr-=t apprcwimaticn; this examination presents two prob-
lemsi - the detan-mination of th-a range of evolutional stability of the bar, and
the calculhtlon on tha inside of the stability range, correoted from the non-
-linearit-y effects. Slta:7ting from tha definitions of loaal stability, equili-
brium and motion, the auth-or p:?esents mathods making It possible to deduce the
stability equations as wall as the first variations of the non-linear equations
around the non-deformed position of the bar. The -equations of the equilibrium
stability ara given In the differential and in the integral form. The author
has calculated the statical functions, which make I-.- possible to determine the
proper values by means of the problem of "related extreme". To determine the
range of motion stability, he gives some equivalent equation systems. Th"se
systems, which represent the first variations of the motion equations, lead to
