According to these data 30 % of -the workers operate technological apparatus, 20 % work the containorsq pipelineaq pumps and similar installations, 7 % supervise power economy, 10 % carry out laboratory controls, 5 4, operate control- anti meaeuxing instruments, 14 % carry out repaira, and 14 % are available for various Izinds of work. It was found that the dogree of automation of various processes varies, and that, above all, transport-operations anzi laboratory controls must be automatized. It is stated that the collective of the Moskovskiy neftepererabatyvayushchiv. zavod (Moscow Petroleum-working Factory) has improved all technical- economic indices2 and these improvements are given for the years 1952-1956. This progress was attained by the introduction of new technical methods.
