Abstract: In the Institute of Genetics AS USSR, tests were
carried cut on the cross -breeding of chickens
of the Bassian white breed with roostero of the
New Hampshire and first-of-May breed. Tbere
were isolated 579 hybrids and BW purebred yrung
chickens; from them 285 hybrids and 473 Irar6ored

206 days, and in the chic-Xa of general use 2217 days.
Egg productivity for the first year in the hybrid
chicks - 134 eggs per original layer with average
weight of eggs 58.4 g; in the Russian whites - 124
eggs with weight 57.5 go in the first of May -
99 eggs with weight 56.5 g and in the New H-=p-
shires 72 eggs with weight 55.2 g. Avexege quan-
tity of digestible nutritaun substances consiorxid
in the production of 1 kg of egg-imas equaled in
the hybrid allckens 3.0 kg, in the Rissiar, Whites

Indicators of productivity: laphorn live weight
at one year 2005 9, egg yield for a year 188.7 eggs,
average weight of eggs 58.2 g; New Hampshire re-
sPectively 2730; 194.3; 6311; first-of -Nkty U2!;;
171; 56-5. Dreeding from fertilized eggs of hy-
brids 4 was 88.&p against 71.3 In 5, against
71.2 in 1 and 60.4% in 3. According to the dura-
tion of the embryonal development and postembry-
onal viability, the hybrids of young chickens
surpassed the purebreds. Hybrids of 5 surpassed
1 in live weight at 3 months of age by 43-15, at
5 months - by 21%. Egg laying for the first. year
