1. Action Re guested: That you approve the nomination of
M or the FY80 Roger W. Jones Award.
2. Background: On 6 November 1979 a memorandum was sent to
all Deputy Directors and the DCI Administrative officer inviting
nominations of Agency employees for the Roger W. Jones Award. In
response, the Director of the National Photographic Interpretation
STATINTL Center recommended Mr. This nomination has been
concurred in by both the Deputy Director for Science and Technology
and the Deputy Director for National Foreign Assessment. On
18 December 1979 the Honor and Merit Awards Board endorsed the
nomination of for this award. The memorandum of nomination
STATINTL from the Director o C, biographic profile and
nominating criteria are attached for your information.
STATINTL 3. Staff Position: has distinguished himself in
various positions of increasing responsibility for more than 27 years
having developed many innovative and effective programs and methods.
He is particularly worthy of representing the Agency as a nominee for
this award. If approved, NPIC will prepare the staff papers and they
will be forwarded for your final endorsement.
