ABSTRACT 1. DCI will issue necessary directives to effect liquidation of SSU'"iand
make recommendations to NIA as to intelligence activities permanently
required in the peace-time effort.
2. During liquidation period SSU should be administered and operated-so as
to service intelligence agencies. DCI shall issue directives to D/SSU
required to accomplish this mission. D/SSU will make available to DCI,
uponrequest, any facilities and services of 'SSU needed by CIO.
3. D I responsible for determin~ng which funds,, personnel and facilities
of SSU are required for performance of functions of CIG. These will be
transferred to an appropriate War Department Unit.
4. War Department will take necessary budgetary action to carry out the
program.
