ABSTRACT: A method is suggested for exp erinie nt ally determining the time
constant of eddy currents set up in the solie. parts of the magnetic circuit of a
traction motor during the transients. Two oscillographic loops are used, one
of them being connected to the motor armature, and the other to its field
circuit. The first loop hells in determining T on turning off the motor, the
second loop, on turning on the motor.

ABSTRACT: The efficiency of integration and filtration in the case of radio
reception of signals phase-keyed by a uniform binary code, under fluctuating
noise conditions, is theoreticailly analyzed. The keying signal is regarded asa
random process taking on, at the receiving end, one of two possible and equally
probable values. The noise is assumed to be white with a normal distribution of
its instantaneous values. The energy. characttriatii.-s of the detection result YM
and the filtration result Z(t) are considered, as well as the integration of Y(t).

ABSTRACT: This Author Certificate presents a method for rectifying radio signals
with phase manipulation by an oscillator with phavo automatic froquency control.
The design increases the interference-froo nature of the radio receiver. As the
voltage acting on the input of the phase automatic frequency control, the design
uses the product of the signals of the output of the intermediate (high) fro-
quency channel of the receiver and of the output of the phase detector of the
receiver. The heterodyne voltage is fed directly to the input of the phase do-
tector of the receiver. This heterodyne voltage Ls fed to the input of the plinse

Abstract: With the aim of investigating the possibility of
adapting staphylococcal phages to the bacillus
of diphtheria and their influence on the toxicity
of the latter, experiments were done with 40
staphylococcal and 126 diphtherial strains (nethod
is cited). Tile adaptation of the staphylococcal
phage was successful only in one case, in which,
after a series of passages in the course of 6 mos.

A detailed desc ription is given of it case of haemor rhagic diathesis in a 2 1 -month-
old boy in whom the symptoms had appeared in the 8th month. The diagnosis is
based on: (1) the morphological a;ppearance of the :hrombocytes, which were normal
in number (reduction of the agglutinating property, anisocytosis of the thromho-
cytes, non-granulated thrombocytes or thromhocy'.es containing an atypical granul-
ation); (2) the haemostatic disturbances: p~olonge,l bleeding time, reduced re-
traction of the clot in spite of the normal coagulation time, normal fibrinogen
level, normal Quick's time, normal prothrombin consumption, normal proconvertin
and pro-accelerin; (3) capillaroscopical examination: weakened vascular reaction.
Serological examinations were negative. The negative result of the familial past
history, in addition to the control examination, ineicates that this is a case of
hereditary and sporadic haemostasis. The case r eported, completing the 5 cas- 3
described byStefani - (1) deficiency of thrombocytic thromboplastin and vascular
factor - serotonin; (2) exclusive deficiency of retractozyme; (3) exclusive defici-
e- :y of thrombocytic thromboplastin; (4) exclusive deficiency of vascular factor -
serotonin; (5) deficiency of the thrombocytic fact,:)rs I and 11 - speaks in favour of
another possibility of a variable weakening of the thrombocytic functioning and
represents a lowering of the vascular factor - serotonin and retractozyme.
