PERIODICAL:
AkadcmiyanaukBelaruskayaSSR.Doklady,v.6,no.2,1962,81-85
TEXT: The most important properties of the Daffin-Ken-aner
matrices are obtained on the basis of general
considerations. The following representation of the matrix ft,
with the aid of the projective operations P10 and
Pt') (separating respectively the scalar and vector (tensor)
part of the k-dimensional space: k = 5, 10) is
used as starting point:
P" = PP, P + P& P
The rules of commutation are obtained from here:
(3)
P.P + PP. = P.; &F + Pfl. = ft. (5)
The general form of the projective operatorsPand P isthen
obtained:
fl'-al P = ft'-a.,

ABSTRACT: The design and construction of saturation
transformers
with a short-circuited winding is presented. Since
such a transformer contains two cores, it is possible
to connect in a compensating winding conveniently when
the transformer is used as an autotransfom'er. The
primary winding, which is connected to the uncompen-
sated circuit of the differential protection, is wound
around both cores; the secondary winding, which feeds

of the short-circuited wlx~ding is wound around one of
the cores, qnd another po3~tion of the winding is wound
around the 6ther core. The results of research on the
number and relative position Of the turns of the short-

ABSTRACT:
In the previous reports (Refs 1-3)
published by the authors it
was shown that
a,a,y,y-tetra-alkyl-substituted allyl alcohols
are
exceptionally capable of forming eaters with primary alcohols
in the presence of a small quantity of diluted sulfuric acid.
It
is known that this formation of eybers is also easily
possible
in the case of some tertiary alcohols containing a
phenyl- or
styryl radical (Refs 4-14). Therefore it seemed
rather obvious
to carry out the formation of esters of
tetra-substituted allyl
alcohols with aryl radicals. In the
present article the results
of the formation of ester of
2-methyl-4-benzyl-penten-2-01-4 M

n.-butyl-, and allyl alcohol are described. It was found that
the alcohol (I) is almost as easily transformed into the est4r
as the tetra-alkyl-substituted allyl alcohols (Refs 1-3), and
that the este.- formation of the alcohol (II) is much more dif-
ficult, as was noted on an earlier occasion (Ref 1). This dif-
ferent reaction rate in the ester formation of these two
alcohols
(I) and (II) may only be explained by the different nature of
the alcohol groups. The synthesized estere exhibit the following
structure:

Analysers in the Perception and Production of
Movements.
Orig Pub : Vopr. psikhologii, 1956, No 3, 48-54
Abstract : Tests were carried out on students. On
removal of the vi-
sual control, the stability and clarity of the motor
con-
cepts about the movements to be performed increases.
Unlearned movements are produced most precisely, when
the
first and the second movements are conducted under
visual
control; less precise when vision is excluded; and
even
less precise vhen the first movement occurs under
visual
control and the second-vithout. Author recomends that
in teaching motor habits, after their practice under
visu-
al control to continue practising them with exclusion
of
vision. In objective movements the dominance of the
