Intraosseous anaesthesis, was used in 618 patients, aged
from I to 83 yr. These
'were 110 patients with panaritla. 60 with phlegmons and 35
with abscesses. It was
also adminislered in reposition of bones in 75 patients with
cloned fractures. In
24 with comp)und fractures, in 11 for reduction of
dialocationn, in 176 for surgic-
al treatment of wounds, etc. Anaesthesia was successful in
94.5% of patients,
satisfactory in 3.3%, unsatisfactory in 2.2%.

ABSTRACT: A noiset-compensating circuit is described In which
two WIP double triodes
are used. One tube functions as a syno-pulse ejaplifier and ft
noise suppressor.
The other ttibe functions as a limit a r-ampli fier and as a
follow-up stage.
A noise peal: that may arrive in between the sync) pulses is
olipped,roversed in
phase and combined with the original signal in ;;uoh a way that
it practically
cancels itself. The circuit was tested in a high peak-noise
area and showed
good results.

ABSTRACT: A self-contained car-borne apparatus has been
designed and produced for
degassing, disinfecting,~and deactivating areas contaminated
with agents of mass
attack. It is intended for distributing special preparations
warned to 60--800 and
propelled by a stream of water under 4-5 atm of pressure. A
gas-liquid apparatus
mounted on a standard caras shown in Fig. 1, would adapt itself
won to such
operations. The process of decontamination is accomplished by
utilizing the heat
and kinetic energy of the exhaust gases and of water vapor, and
the effect is improved
by rubbing a corr~aminated surface with a waxed bruzh. The
apparatus may also be used
I
~oxr sucking in contaminated dust by introducing minor
equipment changes. It weighs
about 14--16 kg, uses some 1,5 liters of liquid per sq meter,
and 3-4 minutes are
needed for mounting or dismounting. The list, dimonsions., and
functions of separate
parts are included, and the operation is explained in some
detail.
