"Stekioobrazn. sootoyaniyell, M.-L., AN SSSR, ig6o, 493-498- Diskuss- 522-524) TEXT: Changes in the properties of the systems Me. 0 - 13203 - Al203 - S102 and Me20 - MeO - B 20 3 -A120 3 - S102 are studied, due to the substitution of Sio2 by Al 203 in the presence of varying quantities of B2 03 in alkaline. The effect of "he introduction of A12 03 is mainly dependent on the Me20/B203 ratio. Also, soda and potash glasses behave differently from lithium ones. The anomalous effects are revealed most clearly in the refractive iw~ex, and also in the density, hardness and elastic modulus.
