Abstract: Contact with an antibiotic, in the present case oxytetrac3i6line, may
bring abort the development of mult!resistant variants of originally sensitive
strains (St. aureus ATCC 5824 and E, coli). Tetracycline acts as an Inductor
on the perAicillinase formation. in the case of staphylococci the multiresistance
is linked, in addition, with pignent loss. The possibility of induction of
multiresistance through tetracycline a-lone (especially the development of resis-
tance to penicillin) deservea to be studied with the greatest attention. 6

ions with energies between 12 and 25 keV were directed onto the surface of a
nickel target at a pressure of 10-7 Torr. at an angle of 600 and the average
number of the secondax7 electrons emitted per incident ion was determined. The
