1. Awards
Certificate of Appreciation for Service on the Interagency
Task Force for Indochina Refugees.
As a result of the fall of South Vietnam in
April 1975, some 140,000 Vietnamese refugees managed
to escape from the country and be brought into the
United States. An Interagency Task Force, headed by
a senior State Department officer, was formed to handle
this massive influx into the United States. Several
federal agencies, including the Agency, were heavily
involved in the processing and resettlement of these
refugees. The Interagency Task Force deemed it appro-
priate to recognize the effort made by employees of the
several federal agencies concerned in supporting this
activity and in this regard, the following Office of
Security employees were recognized for service on the
task force:

5. Badge Machine
The DD/P$M remarked that Office representatives, in
concert with TRW officials, are proceeding smoothly in
efforts to correct hardware deficiencies in the Badge
Machine. Based upon current estimates, activation of
the first Headquarters entrance cannot be expected
for at least ninety days.

8. Effective Briefing Course
Professor has consented to conduct
one more Effective Briefing Course prior to his
retirement. This course is scheduled to begin
23 March and will run approximately 10 weeks.
