1. This memorandum is for information only. (U)
2. The activities of the Office of Security during the
week of 11 - 17 October 1979 were highlighted by the following
items:

a. The Security Analysis Group has determined
that the Covert Action Information Bulletin, a publication
which is a cat to exposing CIA activities and
personnel throughout the world, has announced in their
October 1979 issue that they have established an organization
known as The Intelligence Research and Information
Services, Incorporated. According to CAIB, this
organization is eligible for the receipt of tax-deductible
contributions for the support of the Covert Action
Iforaat on ulletin. (U

c.. Five members of the Technical Security Division
departed on 15 October for California and Washington to
conduct audio countermeasures inspections at contractor
facilities. (a)
d. Three representatives of this Office attended
the regular meeting of the OS/ODP Working Group on
16 October. Agenda items included computer center
operations, handling of misdirected output and some
discussion on the impact of the APEX System. (U)

e. On 15 October, representatives of the Physical
Security Division not with the Chief, Logistics Services
Division, OL, and the Chief of his Architectural Design
Staff to discuss physical modifications of the mail and
courier area which will assure that all packages entering
the Headquarters Building via the North and South
loading dock are screened as a protective measure
against hidden internal explosive devices. (U)

comprehensive physical security surveys

Division attended a briefing on transparent vehicle
armor at Commercial Plastics, a firm located in Fairfax,
