SUBJECT: N.M.I.A. Convention and General Membership Meeting
The convention and general membership meeting of the N.M.I.A. will be held at the Ramada
Inn, Sierra Vista, Arizona again this year from 25-27 June. The registration desk and
hospitality suite opens on Wednesday, 25 June, at 3:00 P.M. The entire cost of the conven-
tion, to include use of the hospitality suite (four drinks included), poolside Bar-B-Que,
entertainment on the 26th and cocktail party and banquet on the 27th is $16.00 per person.
Room rates for the Ramada Inn are shown on your proxy ballot.

USAICS celebrates its Organization Day at Fort Huachuca on Friday, 27 June. Activities will
include parade and static displays. Specific times to be announced later.
Stakes horse races are planned for Sunday, 29 June. These races will be for appaloosa and
quarter horses over 250, 350, 500 and 660 yards. The track is not sanctioned and pari-
mutuel betting not offered. However, some of Arizona's finest will be running in these
races.

The nominating committee has selected the following nominees for the Board of Directors.
If elected, these nominees will replace those members of the Board of Directors who are
serving one year terms:
LTG Daniel 0. Graham, Director, DIA
MG Harold R. Aaron, the ACSI
MG George A. Godding, Commander, USASA
BG Harry H. Hiestand, Commandant, USAICS
MAJ (P) Jasper R. Harris, Chief, MI Branch
The nominating committee has recommended that four additional members be included on the
Board to insure that all of the various groups who have a role to play in the N.M.I.A. are
represented. This would expand the Board from 15 to 19 members. Nominees are:
CPT Terry D. Bearce, USAICS, Editor of the MI Magazine
CW4 John H. Stevenson, OACSI, DA, widely known and highly regarded MI Warrant Officer
CSM Francis F. McCann, CSM of the US Army Intelligence Agency
SSG Tommie E. Adkins, 66th MI Group and one of our best junior NCOs
Serving three year terms on the Board of Directors are:

MAJ Paula F. Jenkins

Serving two year terms on the Board of Directors are:

You can vote by proxy or at the convention personally. The proxy inclosed in this letter
should be filled out and either given to a member attending the convention that you know
or assigned to-one of the individuals listed. Nominations from the general membership
will be accepted from the floor at the general membership meeting.
