"Method of Calculating the Noise Parameters of Amplifier;s with Feedback"
Moscow, Elektrosvyaz, No 6, 1971, pp 45-50
Abstract: A method of calculating the noise param*texa of mr.10.1fiers with IQed-
back is developed. The riethod is suitable for cases wheire thit amplifier and the
feedback circuit are three-tenninal, neti-!orks with connected cozimon. sides. In
practice, the amplifier circuits do not always satisfy this condition, but the
method permits discovery of the effect of the four basic typ(m of feedback, on the
noise characteristics of the amplifier. The interrelation bcici~,i?en the noise par-
ameters of an amplifier without feedback and with feedback can be established by
the relations obtained for the four basic types of feedbittk. The application of
these relations is illustrated by an example of, veries teedback with respecc to
,voltage.
All ty
,pes of feedback change the no~sie characteritnics ol! che amnl~ffer
even if the noi5c of the feedback circuit is neglected. Analysis of freqIiency-
independent feedback with respect to voltage sh(ws that :tn th.f '1; CaSe it it; D013-
sible to encompass the amplifier in a deep feedback circuit by riroper selection
of the feedback circuit el(=ents without worsening the noise OiiLrac te ris tics of
the amplifier.

it has been established that the change in NaCl concevitration in the VGKP-101
bath is about 40 kg/m3, temperature 20% specific cundi;ictivity 8 ohm-1-ln-J.
The increase in conductivity at the "hot" end of the bath catises an increast~

be partially eliminated by a new method of feeding frefli bri.ne into the bath.
The brine is fed in through a pipe in the electrolyte *t tho "hot" end of the
bath. As it passes through the pipe, the fresh brine is heatod by 11-cat exchange
with the electrolyte and it enters the clectrolyzer at a higher temperaLure.

Abstract: Report on the dynamics of fornation of a coni,111tionel reflex to a
chain acoustic stimulus (3 tones each sounded for 2 see) In an unrestrained
adult female Black Sen dolphin (Tursiops truncatus A=t.j. At thq vignal the
animal swam to a lever and was immediately revarded vith a ftsth if it p-mc-sert
the lever correctly. The reflex was formed to the compla-x stinulus an
quickly an to a similar simple ref1j!x and the proc(iso wis &Tq)iroxJmaLe1y 0.0
same as in other higher animals. The location of -the dolphin at the Utm the
stimulus was presented and especially the position that It took under the
lever served as unique signals that had an effect on the conditioned
activity. Experiments were perfor-red vith another dolph~xt to studY the
reciprocal influence of food and play reactions, competitive relations, and
capacity for imitation.

Abstract: A study performed on rats into which polycyclic
hydrocarbons were injected subcutaneously reve-aled that oxidation
of liver lipids in the presence of polycyclic hydrocarbons may
result in the formation of a compound whose lintlaxidativc
activity is proportional to the carcinogenic activity of the
hydrocarbon. The probable substrates formed lire rocopherol aud
other lipid antioxidants. Changes in lipids take place in the
early stages of chemical carcinogenesis.

Moscow, Akusticheskiy Zhurnal, Vol 19, No 2, Nar-Apr 73, pp 129-132
Abstract: Distributions of the instantaneous valuos of the aound pressure
of nataral underwater noises were studied experimentally in the surf-noise
zone 10-600 meters from the shoreline, at a depth of 42 t:o 20 ir., within
the frequency range of 100-8000 H2, and in the far coastal zone 20 km frcm
the coastline, at a depth of 130 m, within the frequency range of 5-11,000
Hz. In applications lasting 0.05 to 1200 seconds, the (ILitribution law In
the far coastal zone is Gaussian, and in the surf-noise zone th-e distriOution
law is non-Gaussian and is distributed by considerabte exe-ess and asynkmetry.
The obtained results are discussed. 3 figures. 6 references.

Abstract: The purpose of this article Is to compute the intanuity of the
start of superdislocations in the R2 superstructure, ithich is as:iur&d to be
an Isothermal process. The author makes extensive usO of wathematical for-
mulas to discuss his assumptions and employs figii=s mad tdbleti to illustrate
his findings. Both tables am used to predict substitutiom-1 probabilities.
Figure 1 depicts the intensity of the isothermal and adiabs;tic start of ruper-
d1slocations in the B2 superstructure of stoichiometric composition as func-
tions of the temperature. Figure 2 shovs the intensity of 'the starc of super-
dislocations in a solid solution of non-3toichlometric coap3,sitioa as a func-
tion of the temperature: both Isothermal and adiabatic start. Figure 3 gives
the intensity of deceleration of the superdiclocation prodwted by diGxvption
of the short-range order in the malt an a fuwtion of the butperature. The
author gives 3 figures, 2 tables, and 9 bibliographic entrims.

Translation: This invention relates to computer technology and car. be used
in logic control machines, centralized control devi=5, and other computers
made of pneumatic automation elements. Pneumatic bypat;s d+VLces are known,
consisting of standard one-cycle pulse delay circuits. However, these de-
vices have a constant predetermined number of outputs. This does not allaw
them to be used to solve a number of proble=s in whick the number of outputs
of the bypass device must be changed during the operating process, eit'-ler

Moscow, Atomnaya Energiya, Vol 290 No 5, Nov 70, V-P 389-391
Abstract: The article continues the authors' Study CX 3ynChro-
tron radiation on the Tomsk Polytechnic lnstil~ute synchrotron
for an energy of 1.5 Gev. The linear polarizatiori. of synchro-
tron radiation was studied according to tue method. of F. A.
KUROLi~V, Q. F. KULIKOV, and A. S. YaOV. Typicial examples of the
angular intensity distribution of the polarizatiom components in
the vertical plane for various acceleratsd eloctron energie3 are
given. There is good agreement between sxperimental and theoroti-
cal results for the (Y-components The anguli'.Cr di.stribution of
the J-r-component differs from the theoristica:1 ane.1 de;mnds on ac-
celerator adjustment. A characterl3tic pecullarity of the anga-
lar distribution of the Jr-compopent is the labseoice of radia-
tion in the direction of inetantan0ous vmloclty (tangent t-o tho

electron orbit). This is confirmed experimentally; hGwever, in
some cases at A 4350 2 the intensity in the. minimum of the
J( -component does not equal zero, though it is viery arnall -
Measurements showed good agreement between tim imr.,onsity dis-
tributions of the Cy- and Jr-components of aynchroLron radia-
tion linear polarization and theoretical ra$qlts up to energies
of 1 GeV.

"Decomposition Conditions of Silicon and Aluminum Suboxides in
Production of Light Metals and Alloys"
Moscowt Tsvetnyye Metally, No. 7, Jul 71v )PP 37-40
Abstracte On the basis of calculations which utilized data of
the reference literature and individual exj,,~eritnnital findinC.;s,
it is demonstrated that jilicon and aliamizva do not
decompose in the tem-peratuxe interval of 11000--1,900 00 by con-
tact vrith oxides of other metals, but they redai,~%e them -,nith pro-
duction of slag and the alloy. In the presencii of 01, nuboxides of
Al and Si decompose with production of carbides c-ind oxides of
higher valency, up to temperatures of 2,o25 OC imd 11500 OC, re-
spectively. At higher temperatures, suboxides react .-,rith C with
production of carbide. To decrease Si and Al losises with the ga-
seous phase, it is e3medient. to cairry out tho reduction 'pro-
cess by decreased CO pressure and increased mn,faces of the re-
ducing agent and the solvent. Two illustr.9 two tables, six-
