PMIODICAL: Grazhdanskaya Aviatsiya,, 1957.-1Nr 8,, pP- 1-3 (USSFO
ABSMACT: The article commemorates th6 fiftieth anniversary of Soviet trade
unions and their role in labor movements. The aviation. 4orkAws' trade
union was established in 1934 and comprises workers and employees of the
GVF, the WS and the hydromateorological service. The length of internal
air routes grew from 6,000 km in 1928 to 93,3W km in 1937. The leading
Pilots of this period were N. P. Shebanov,, N. 1. Novikov and V. 1. btnakhov.
During the Germ=-Soviet var, all attention of the Soviet trade unions
was fixed on achieving vidtary. Hence a LLrge scale expansion began only
after the war. The IMM's of the Novosibirsk and Vnukovo airports
propounded a new speed method of replacii*'and reconditioning engines.
Flow methods in repair shops allowed a 30 to 50 per cent increase in
officiency. Due to numerous innovations, 4,000.,000 rubles were saved in
1956. Hundreds of thousands of square afters of housing were oye=d for
occupancy. During the sixth Five-Tear plan, the GVF has received jet
Card 1/2 planes. A large construction program is under way for the GVF personnel

several consequences and lemmata are proved. In the last of
