Bolts to Secure an SC-3 Antenna (C)
1. (C) In order to provide for the possible replacement
of an SC-i terminal with an SC-3 terminal, it is requested
that your office provide specifications and drawings for an
adapter to interface the SC-3 antenna with existing SC-1
antenna anchor bolts. The adapter should permit installation
of an SC-3 antenna without the need of additional anchor
bolts or antenna pad renovation. An adapter is required due
to the difference in size of the two antenna bases. Please
direct your response to the following situations: (a) an
SC-1 antenna enclosed in a square radome, and (h) an SC-1
antenna enclosed in a round radome. The attached drawings
provide the specific antenna location in a square and a
round radome. The adapter ideally should be of one piece
construction, lightweight, inexpensive, and easy to install.
