Abstract To clarify the phases of toxicity of various soporific preparations,
author investigated the effect of sodium amytal on the higher nervous
activity of two dogs. Samples taken from different parts of the
brain revealed pathohistological changes. Some were reversible
(swelling edema of the nerve cells) others permanent and serious (karyo-
cytolysis, breakdown foci, hemorrhages) revealing the toxic effect of

ABSTRACT: The results of shop tests of the "Mekhanobr-7" flotation
machine, designed for large flotation plants having capacities
of >2000 t/day, are presented. The volume of the chamber is
5.8 M3, the impeller diameter is 750 mm, the rpm is ?.30. The
impeller-and-stator unit is designed along the same lines as
earlier Mekhanobr flotation machines. A (ieneral view, a cross
section of the outlet, and a section through the impeller-stator
assembly of the "Mekhanobr-7" machine are given.
