Abstract Experiments of the viticulture station in Valya Keluge-
ryaske (Ploesti, Rumania) have determined that when mo-
derate slopes (250 - 30P) are being prepared for plan-
ting new vineyards, the best way to inhibit soil erosion
is to alternate belts of vineyard plantings with belts
of unplowed land.
