ABSTRACT:
,A 1024-channel pulse height analyzer with a gain-stabilizing 100P is show,
in Fig. 1. The amplifier gakn is stabilized by the -Inr- consist 'ing of
.. counter (6). w.hich tallies the number of pulses from the astable multivibrator,
-(5), which in turn is proportional to the height of the reference pulse from P
the generator (11). 'rhe amount by which the reference pulse misses its
intended channel constitutes the error signal, which is formed by circuit
j(7) vihose inputsaw derived from six h-.'gher-order stages of counter (6).
The error is applied to counter (8) which integrates it and applies it to
the numbs r-to-volt alp converter. This converter changes the &stable Wilti-
.vibrator output frequency in the direction of diminishing error. If the

ABSTFLICT: The Dnieprope-trovsk works has put into production press
mod.el f1795 of 3500 tons which will be used in the manu-
facture of transformer parts. The size of the press
latens is 3200 x 3200 mm and they can be heated to 150 C.

ior is given for the motion of the press platenB and an
exrression is derived for the rate of movement of the
press parts. The output of the press depends mainly on
the rate of movement of the parts and the steys whict are

ABSTRACT: This article describes a new 1?-platen press of 1 200 tons
typejj?D8 produced by the Dnepropetrovsk Works (Dnepropetrov-
skiy %avod) for medium bydraulic and heavy mechanical presses.
A general illustration of the press is given in Fig. 1. It is
a hyd.raulic cress working on mineral oil at a wcrking pressure
of 180 kg/cm with a total travel of 1 2?5 mm and a platen
surface of ?50 x 1 000 um. The maximum stress in the most
heavil3-loaded pillar of the press-is considered briefly and
a desiem formula is given. A most important matter ir press
technology is the time of applying and i5leasing pressure and
a brief mathematical analysis of this question _s given.
In the manufacture of electrical insulating materials
heating and cooling of -,he platens is important. The method of
heating is by steam at a pressure of 4.? kg/cm -,nd an inlet
temperature of 153 OU. Heating data is given ia Sable 1.

shown that the plates are heated up in 24minutes and cooled in
12 minutes. When it is necessary to heat 2the plates more
rapidly steam at pressures up to 12 kg/cm can be used.
The output of the press depends on the matertal being
presa*d. The pressing and cycle time can vary very widely.
