ABSTRACT: It has already been shown (Ref 1) that in the evaporation
of the chlorides of alkn1i netaln with tetrafluoro boric
acid tetrafluoro boraten are quantitatively prod,3ced. T'ne
Content of POta38ilM and nodium chlorides in the mixture
can be calculated fron the weight of t'ie chloride
,Mixture t (Chl) and the -mcieht of the tetrafluoro
boratel (Tfb) using the eqiations:

to 95% KCL and 5% NaCl wero con-pletely satinflactory.
The relative analytical error to greater for those
components which were present in smaller a=ountn. There
are 3 tables and 9 references, 5 of which are Soviet.

NaF 0 9 4- phenol 0 05 f HCI 3-4 g/liter + gelatin I g/liter H~, and
SnClz 025 + NaF 0 9. HCI 3-4 g/liter + gelatin I g/Itter, technical
fraction from the distillation of coal tar 10 g/liter (Ill. The stability
of solutions I and F1 in the process of clectrolygiff is satisfactory. the
decrease in the concentration of F- and free HCI which was obaerved
is related to the precipitation of NaF and to complex hydrolysis reac-
tions This does not, however. bring about any decrease in the Sn
content of the solution Physicochemical properties of both rsoluttons
are adduced.
