Abet-net: The survival. rate of rats irrac-lated with X-rays in
aoses LD36/30 and LD85/70 and then treated for 12 days by
daily intramuscular injections of antibiotica was studied. The
antibiotics used rfere penicillin, atreptomycin, erythromycin,
resintomycin, biomycint reverin (pyrrolidinomethyltetrac-,cline
hydrochloride), aureoRyciii (Ditre tetracycline), er~thran, and
oynthomycin. The maximum therapeutic effect and highest rate of
survival resulted on application of tetracycline treparationo and
derivatives,, while the mini-mum effects were obtained on admin-
istration of synthoWfcin aad eryth.-omycin. The therapeutic ef-
fect of the antibiotics corresponded to their ca-)icity for
activation of catalsse in rat tissues (the activity of thin en-
zyme is reduced upon irmdiation). Biom:;cin# a letracycline
preparation of Bulgarian origin, was in no Way inferior to
