Describes a rectifier for supplying the B-912 re-
ceiver (produced by the Plant imeni A. S. Popov)
from the line. The unit consists of a selenium
or copper-oxide (but preferably a type S-180-8/1
selenium) rectifier connected in a bridge to
give 150 v and a current of about 70 ma.

elucidate the width of the range of bomogeneity
in type A compounds the exact lattice.constants of indium
_and gallium antimonides were determined bk the asymmetric method,
using the technique described in an earliek published paper-of
the-author. The,preparations were synthesized both in the
stoichiometric composition as well as with deviations by 50 mole-%~
to,both sides of the stoichiometric composition. The latter
Preparations showed a second phase which could be detected on
polished sections and on X-ray jiffraction patterns. The micro-
hardness of the basic 'phase

corresponded to.the microhardness of the compounds., The gallium
antimonide was photographe4 using chromium and copper radiation.
Indium antimonide was photographei using cobalt and nickel

TITLE: X-ray diffraction investigations of some A B -type.
compounds with compositions deviating from the
stoic hiometric

TEXT: The aim of the investigations was to determine the
width of th o'conc entrat ion range in which indium and gallium
arsen1de,' made from 99.93% purity mat-erials, remained homogeneous.
The specimens were synthesised in evacuat'ed quartz ampules with the

follo-wing sequence of operations: slow h-enting to 650 C -for 11;
holding at this tempera-ture for 2 houx;s; slow heating to 100 9C
above the fusion temperoLture of the compound and holding for
30 i-An; cooling together with the furnace for 12 - 111 hours.
Specimens of stoichioiactric and non-stoichiometric composition
were synthesised. The substance was broken-up into powder prior
to t'al-zing the X-~&y difft~aiction pictures and annealed in evacuated
quartz ampules for 5 houis-at .350 oC. Results. -within the errors

of determination (0.0001 -A) the lattice spacings did not depend
oil the -excess of olle or ~14 other compound with respect to stoi-
chiometry. Without corr4c~ingg for refraction, the folloi..,ing values
