ABSTRACT: The first articlp on the NKP formation of the Surakhany Oilfield was
published in "Neftyanoye khcZyayStvo,r 1948, Nr '.0. The present and last
article on this subject presents data on the foniation's oil recovery from
1932 to 1958. The variations In the annual oil !ind water recoveries as well
as the water factor are depicted in Fig. 2. The output of a stabilized well
in the NKP formation was recorded for the years L939-57 and the lata are pre-
sented in Fig. 3. The data on the physicogeologLcal conditions of the NKP
formation are given in Table 4. The study showe.1 that the current coefficient
of oil and gas recovery from the NKP formation 13 86-88 per cent and the ulti-
mate coefficient of recovery is 89-91 per cent. It was determined that the
coefficient of recovery for formations with simiLar geological and production
characteristics can be increased to 0.9 or higher. There are 2 figures, 1
table, and 1 Soviet reference.

An analysis of 24 splenectorrues. Radiographical visualization of tte spleen is
obtained by institution of prieumoperitoneum with simultaneous Intr )duction of gas
into the large intestine. The best approach to the spleen to an oblirue incision
almost parallel to the left costal arch. After the removal of the spleen. careful
attention to the splonic bed. haemostasis and dreanage of the left sibphrenic area
are necessary. The author is categorically against splenectomy In cases of severe
