The sample (in tho form of a thin strip) was hold At its nodal points by two metal filaments,,ona of which was vibrated by a solenoid., Resonance was measured by a differential capacitance device between the plates of which the aample was located. The sample and supports were enclosed by an oven. With this apparatus the modulus of elasticity at different temperatures of molybdenum disilicide was found to be 34 x 10-) kg/=2 at OC.
