Dear Colonel Spingarn: Thank you very such for your kind letter of August 10th, With its enclosure, the resolution adopted by the CIC Convention. When the luneheon sanded, I could see that you were very busy, and I did not want to bother you any more. That is why I left without a formal farewell to you. Please let me express now my appreciation and thanks for allowing as to appear bef,3re the convention and also for all your kindnesses in arranging lodgings, etc. It vas a great pleasure to be able to address the CIC Convention, and :[ do hope that this first convention will only dark the beginning of may others.
