Bob Macy advises me that he, accompanied by
Milton Iossi,, is leaving on 13 June 1961 for a trip to Latin America.
His stated purpose is to review for Mr. Bell certain economic aid and
political stability problems in several Latin American countries. He
will not be looking into CIA matters. However, he requests having
some briefings by our WH people prior to his departure and being per-
mitted to talk with our Chiefs of Station if the opportunity permits. He
will go to
Milton lossi was formerly one of Bob's assist-
ants on our budget, and while I would recommend that he not be permit-
ted to see our Chiefs of Station I can see no objection to his participating
with Bob in whatever briefings he has prior to departure. If you have no
objection I will ask Ed Saunders to make appropriate arrangements with
the WH Division.
