SIGNIFICANCE: THIS BRIEFING BOARD DEPICTS A PROBABLE PRISON CAMP IN NORTH VIETNAM. 2. LOCATION: THE CAMP IS LOCATED ONE NM NORTH-NORTHWEST OF HUNG YEN AND APPROXIMATELY TWENTY-FOUR NM SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF HA NOI AT UTM XH 096845. 3. MISSION READOUTS: 2X1 I IOTOGRAPHY OF IRST REVEALED A CAMP UNDER CONSTRUCTION ONE NM NORTH-NORTHWEST OF HUNG YEN. THREE BARRACKS BUILDINGS WERE COMPLETED AND TWO WERE UNDER CONSTRUCTION. 25X1 25X1 25X1 OF THE CAMP HAD BEEN COMPLETED (NOT SHOWN ON GRAPHIC). REVEALS THE PROBABLE PRISON CAMP TO CON- SIST OF A WELL-MAINTAINED COMPOUND WALLED INTO TWO SEPARATE AND EQUAL SECTIONS, EACH CONTAINING THREE BARRACKS BUILDINGS. THE COMPOUND IS SURROUNDED BY A TEN-FOOT WALL WITH GUARD TOWERS AT THE NORTHWEST AND SOUTHEAST CORNERS. ADJACENT TO THE MAIN ENTRANCE AT THE CENTER OF THE SOUTH WALL IS A POSSIBLE GUARDS BILLETING AREA CONTAINING THREE POSSIBLE BARRACKS BUILDINGS. THREE POLES ARE NOTES IN THE AREA, ONE INSIDE THE COMPOUND AND TWO OUTSIDE, INDICATING EITHER COMMUNICATIONS, ELECTRIC POWER, OR LIGHT STANCHIONS.
