SUBJECT : Meeting with DDS&T on Near-Real-Time Exploitation
MEMORANDUM FOR: Chief, Technical Services & Support Group, NPIC
1. Pursuant to instructions by the ie BRED, the under-
signed telephoned in order to ascertain 25X1
the nature of a request he had made to NPIC. The following summarizes
that telecon.
2. On Monday mornipo*, 25 Ma re resentatives from DOD are to
meet with and er DDS& epresentatives`and brief them 25X1
on the DOD concept as to how a Near-Real- ime System is to be used for
SAC purposes.
In preparation for this meeting, and probably in participation,
I wants NPIC to present two cases:
a. How does NPIC want to insert its exploitation functions
into the NRT loop in a meaningful manner?
b. What experience or knowledge does NPIC have with the use
of a video (TV) type display of imagery? How could it be
used?
4. Obviously, the first question is loaded and presents NPIC with
its chance to propose its role in NRT systems. Since this is dripping
with policy and the future of NPIC, I am passing it to l for 25X1
consideration.

7. The NPIC NRT Study Group Report is still in limbo, as far as
I know. I don't know if as come to any conclusions or even
outlined a concept of the NPIC role in NET. did not
mention the DDI, so I don't know if they are aware of this action or

once the NPIC has its ducks in formation.
