:1. Campus Attitudes: of our 25X1A
office reports that the Triton Times, the U. C.
San Diego student newspaper, refused to 7run his general
advertisement in their paper, stating that it was an
editorial decision not to run CIA-related ads because of
strong student sentiment against CIA on that campus. In
sharp contrast, the UCLA Bruin (Los Angeles) raised no such
objection and in fact asked permission to increase the size
of the ad.

in a statewide Job Fair of Electronic Technicians
on
the
dates 23 and 24 February, sponsored by the Oklahoma Technical
Society. About 30 candidates signed up in advance for inter-
views. This is a yearly affair and has been productive in the
past, particularly for OTS and the Office of Communications.
3. Retirement Activity: The following figures show total
retirement actin ty for the period 10 January through 28 Feb-
ruary. The figures in the clear show totals. The figures in
parentheses represent persons who have opted for options of
discontinued service or "involuntary" retirement and are
included in the total figure. Thus, of 120 persons to go by
28 February, 84 are going under the "liberal" options.

4. Regulations: During this week, the following were
forwarded to Regulations Control Branch for publication:
- "Consultants"
- "Pay Allowances for Missing Persons"
- "Pay Allowances for Missing Persons"
5. Standards:
a. A redraft of the factor level descriptions and
the occupational information for the Intelligence Information
Report Series has been completed.
b. We continued. research OR the draft primary
standard for evaluating Agency Supergrade positions.
6.. Lenten Services: Lenten services were held in the
auditorium on Ash Wednesday. sday. Approximately 260 employees
attended the Catholic service, and 60 attended the Protestant
service.
7. Benefits Briefing: On 17 February, personnel from
Insurance Branch and Personal Affairs Branch briefed a group
of 20 employees at the Central Depot: on matters relating to
FEGLI, FEC, Casualty Assistance, and. insurance programs
avail.able.to Agency employees. We wish to present this
briefing to as many groups of employees as possible in order
to increase their awareness and understanding of possible
employee benefits.
8. Audits: The audit of the Insurance Branch continues.
The audit-of ?1ie Employee Activity Association is almost
completed and a draft report is expected in a few days.
9. Rehired Annuitants: The following rehired annuitant
case was terminated-for tie Directorate of Administration:

Coming Events: We plan to continue (a) our review of
regulations Bind handbooks, (b) the analysis of APP statistics,
and (c) our review of IC Staff draft of regulatory issuances.
