Osman is encamped in the vicinity of Santai (88-44D 4404) with his Kazakhs (some 1500 men with their families), approximately 100 White Russian soldiers, and about 100 Tungkan soldiers, 2, As soon as possible, Osman will move with these three groups of people to the vicinity of Gas Kul (Ghaz Kul) (90-40, 38-10) in western Tsinghai., The trip will be made south across the Takla kakan, along the eastern edge of the Quruq Tagh. The only water supply will be snow on the ground, At present there are about 500 Kazakh families in the Gas Kul area, under a Kazakh named Kussain. 4.. The Chinese are watching Osman's moves very closely and may attempt to prevent the departure by force. Osman?s troops are very short of ammunition, having less than ten rounds per rifle. Osman will therefore try to avoid as much fighting as possible.
